"... the third day in a row! How are we supposed to drink water if all of the nearby wells have salt? I'm going to have to make a trip to the center of town to just get water for the day." The frustrated woman rubs her forehead.

You chime in. "Do you need help carrying anything?" The woman turns to you and smiles.
"That would be wonderful. The walk back is so far from the center of Tel Hreiz while carrying all the water." She passes you a few containers and you leave the group to walk towards a crowd of buildings far in the distance.

"Are you okay?" The father asked, looking concerned.

A few hours later, at sunset, you walk to the center of the town to go to the meeting. As you approach, a wide group of people gathers around the town leader. They begin speaking, and the crowd begins to quiet down.
"Thank you everyone for coming tonight. As we have all been watching for decades, the sea is rising. Our homes are being flooded, our wells have salt water, and we are at the point where we need to have a solution. We have two plans: moving inland or building a wall along the coast.
For moving inland, we would need to ask those who live along the coast to move further away from the shore. Wells will have to be rebuilt where there is no salt water in them. We as a community will have to work tirelessly to move.
The other choice is building a wall along the coast. This wall will prevent flood water from going further inland during storms. We will have to work as a community to build it, and it will be difficult work.
Does anyone have any suggestions?"

"We can't just keep pretending that this isn't happening!" She is angry and practically spits the words from her mouth. "You can say you believe in climate change, but if you aren't actually doing anything about it how are we supposed to believe you!?" The crowd applauds in agreement.

You stay to listen more, when another person stands to talk.
"How do you expect this city to invest more money into climate prevention when we aren't even the ones to pollute it in the first place? We have thousands of homeless people that need homes, thousands more that need food, and children's schools that are falling apart."
The same woman from before pushes back. "What you fail to see is how climate change makes all of those problems ten times worse!"
As the meeting continues, you become more and more frustrated with the group.

During your statement, you look around to see several heads nodding in agreement.
//Since my first day in Tel Hreiz, I have been thinking about how they chose to relocate instead of letting sea level rise hurt their citizens. This is what they need to do now so that people like my parents aren't homeless later.//
You continue to speak. "Right now, we are a unique moment where we can do something before the worst strikes. Since parts of this city could be underwater in a few decades, we should start moving people out now. It doesn't have to be rapid, but a sustained response to a larger problem. If we ensure people have housing now, we won't have a humanitarian crisis on our hands later."
Again, you look around, but in this instance you see the city leader's faces who are hosting the meeting. There is a sense of renewed determination.
(if: $TT is 'building')|townMeetingDialgoue>[Soon, the meeting ends and you walk out with the crowd. However, one of the storefronts you passed before looks a bit different. Instead of a usual brick exterior, the walls almost gleam. Instinctively, you know it is your building.
//Does this mean I succeeded?//
You walk into the building and find a new button lit. When you get closer to inspect it, you realize the image on it almost looks like you.
//Guess it's time to go home.//

(if: $TT is 'watch')|townMeetingDialgoue>[Soon, the meeting ends and you walk out with the crowd. As you walk, you notice your watch vibrating once more. You press the secret button and for what feels like the final time, you find a new button blinking. When you inspect it, you realize the image on it almost looks like you.

When you stop falling, you once again are standing outside your childhood home, which is still under water. You walk closer.
//Did nothing really change?//
However, as you begin to step into the water, you notice that the house is empty this time. No hastily abandoned furniture or art. A sign on the front door reads: "Home Deemed At Risk by City Climate Change Council. Do Not Enter."
//They accepted it was coming.//
The pit in your stomach that had been present ever since the first flood hit your childhood home vanished and was replaced with joy.
